Abstract/Citation: In view of harmonizing national legislation with article 19 of the European Parliament and Council Directive 2006/54/EC of 5 July 2006, on the implementation of the principle of equal opportunities and equal treatment of men and women in matters of employment and occupation (recast), the present Law amends article 23A of the Laws N° 177(I) of 2002, 193(I) of 2004 and 38(I) of 2009 on Equal Pay for Men and Women for Equal Work or Work of Equal Value, by replacing the subtitle with new one, worded as "Extrajudicial protection and burden of proof", and by adding new phrase 3, on the burden of proof with regard to an alleged breach of the provisions of the present Law.
