 AVOID ALL CONTACT!
  SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID
Inhalation Cough. Shortness of breath. Burning sensation. Laboured breathing. Sore throat.  Use ventilation, local exhaust or breathing protection.  Fresh air, rest. Artificial respiration may be needed. Refer for medical attention.
Skin Skin burns. Pain. Redness.  Protective clothing. Protective gloves.  Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. Refer for medical attention .
Eyes Severe deep burns. Pain. Redness.  Wear face shield or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.  First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then refer for medical attention.
Ingestion Burning sensation. Abdominal pain. Diarrhoea. Nausea. Vomiting. Shock or collapse.  Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.  Rinse mouth. Give one or two glasses of water to drink. Refer for medical attention .

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL CLASSIFICATION & LABELLING

EXPOSURE & HEALTH EFFECTS

Routes of exposure
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation, through the skin and by ingestion.

Effects of short-term exposure
The substance is corrosive to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Corrosive on ingestion.

Inhalation risk
A harmful concentration of airborne particles can be reached quickly when dispersed.

Effects of long-term or repeated exposure
The substance may have effects on the kidneys, liver and respiratory tract. This substance is carcinogenic to humans. See Notes.

EU-OEL: (as Cr): 0.005 mg/m3 as TWA; (see Notes)

ENVIRONMENT
The substance is very toxic to aquatic organisms.

NOTES
Health effects of exposure to the substance have not been investigated adequately, but in contact with moisture or water it is hydrolyzed to chromium(VI) oxide.
See ICSC 1194.
The occupational exposure limit value should not be exceeded during any part of the working exposure.
The substance is combustible but no flash point is available in literature.
Do NOT take working clothes home.
EU-OEL limit value 0.010 mg/m3 until 17 January 2025. Limit value: 0.025 mg/m3 for welding or plasma cutting processes or similar work processes that generate fume until 17 January 2025.
