Remarks:
  • - The Contracts of Service Act 1970 applies to all employees except members of an employer's family who are maintained by and reside with the employer (sec. 3 CSA).
    The provision on the general right to severance pay does not apply to a member of the employer's family nor does it apply to employment in the public service (sec. 16(1) CSA).


Reformas legislativas en curso
A new Labour Code was passed in 2006. However, as of February 2011, it has not been implemented. This text which has been re-drafted to include new amendments is still under discussion.
