These regulations (effective: 1 Jan. 1988) include limit values for the exposure of employees to electromagnetic fields, covering the 3MHz to 300GHz frequency range. They cover: definitions, general rules (the employer must carry out investigations if it is possible for an employee to be exposed at above the established exposure levels, requirements to be met by the supplier, danger symbols indicating areas of special danger). In the case of pacemaker wearers, a doctor must be consulted. Appended are exposure limit values in stepped form (effective values for a period of 1 second and 6 minutes), examples of sources emitting electromagnetic energy, detailed commentaries.
