This new guide includes considerations of the new Swiss law on accident insurance which became effective 1 Jan. 1984. Part 1 is a commentary on the new law and on ordinances in effect in Switzerland, dealing with: insured persons, optional insurance, benefits, contributions, eligibility, prevention, financing, organisation of obligatory insurance, jurisdiction, legal penalties. Part 2 gives the full text of the law and of the appropriate ordinances (including the ordinance on the prevention of accidents and of occupational diseases). Practical information about insurance and the organisational structure of the Swiss National Accident Insurance Fund are given in the appendix.
