These rules, made under the Norwegian Workers' Protection Act of 1956, cover machinery for industrial, self-service and private laundries (except dry-cleaning operations); they entered into force on 1 Mar. 1974. Contents: suppliers', employers' and employees' duties; general safety provisions; special rules (safety devices, etc.) for marking machines, washing machines, centrifugal dewatering and washing machines, hot-mangle feed attachments, mangles, folding machines, garment presses, wringers, dewatering presses, fans for dryers, and spin dryers. Equations for calculating the strength of centrifugal drums are appended.
