This Ordinance (introduced under the authority of the Labour Protection Act, CIS 02-1001; effective:1 Sep. 2003 ) contains 11 sections, dealing with: objectives; scope; definitions; general responsibilities of employers; evaluation of explosion risk; prevention of and protection against explosions; documentation and supervision. In annex: classification of danger zones where explosive atmospheres may occur; minimum requirements for improving the safety of workers; posting of warnings.

Data on the chemical composition and physical properties of wood dust are followed by mandatory safety requirements concerning: wood-dust storage, separating and conveying facilities (dust-tight construction, explosion vents, etc.); burners; instrumentation; flameproof electrical equipment; protection against static electricity and lighting; fire protecton measures; igniting burners; starting-up and shut-down procedures; operating instructions. CIS has only the Swedish-language version.
