Compressed Acetylene (Importation) Regulations 1978.
These regulations (effective: 6 Dec. 1978) prohibit the importation into the United Kingdom of bulk quantities of acetylene which at 15.5°C is subject to pressure between 0.62 and 18.0 bar above normal atmospheric pressure, unless a licence is previously obtained from the Health and Safety Executive, on account of the explosion hazard.
