Data sheet for the information of all workers who may be called upon to use electric tools, hand lamps, etc., in highly conductive environments (damp locations, metal enclosures). Contents: elevated risks due to electrical faults in the equipment and/or contact with conducting surfaces (including damp clothing or skin); necessity of low voltage; protective value of an isolating transformer; possibility of welding with an isolating transformer having a relay which limits the voltage between the welding electrode and the grounded environment to 42V as soon as the arc is broken; suggestions for even lower voltages under dangerous conditions. |
