Título Acceptable concentrations of acetone
Información bibliográfica American National Standards Institute, 1430 Broadway, New York, N.Y. 10018, USA, 1971. 8p. 10 ref.
Resumen This standard, sponsored by the American Industrial Hygiene Association, is introduced by a statement on the meaning of acceptable concentrations. It briefly gives the properties of acetone and its hazards to health. Maximum acceptable concentrations are given as follows: 1000ppm for the time-weighted average exposure during an 8-hour work day, with a corresponding ceiling concentration of 3000ppm; and 6000ppm for a duration of not more than 30min once in an 8-hour work day. Recommendations are made as regards air sampling procedures and analytical determination of acetone in air.
