Resumen |
Key conclusions of this literature survey of condition-based maintenance strategies for hydraulic machines: Risks linked to such equipment include leakages causing high pressure jets, projection of mechanical components, as well as sudden and unexpected motions of machine parts. Corrective maintenance usually carried out after machines break down is not necessarily safe. Condition-based maintenance monitors the different parts of the hydraulic system constantly and can be used for early fault detection. It reduces the number and duration of interventions, enables safer and planned maintenance schedules, provides more information on the state of the hydraulic system, improves the reliability of the hydraulic system by reducing the probability of dangerous failures and reduces the risk of accidents. The six methods of condition-based maintenance described and analysed are hydraulic oil analysis, monitoring measurements from the system, vibration analysis, expert systems, artificial neural networks and the extended Kalman filter. |
