| Abstract |
Audits for controlling occupational hazard management systems are derived from accounting and quality audits. This article defines the concept of safety audits and distinguishes between audits that are required by law and voluntary audits, such as those that are conducted with a view of obtaining certification or accreditation, based on standards or management models. The article reviews various existing standards and presents the ILO guidelines for occupational safety and health management systems. |
