Abstract Toxicological data sheet. 2-Methoxyethyl acetate is a toxic substance. Its effects on humans are not well known but in animals it induces mucosal irritation, depression of the central nervous system, renal tubule damage, malformation of the external genital organs and an increase in spontaneous abortions.
