Abstract This revised guidance incorporates three Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs) relating to the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1999 (COSHH), which updates the provisions of the COSHH of 1988 (CIS 89-1092) and 1994 (CIS 95-19), both now revoked. Changes include amended definitions, the removal from the schedules of the list of substances for which a maximum exposure limit has been approved, and some other minor changes. The ACOPs replace those of 1997 (see CIS 97-950).
