Title Semicircular lipoatrophy: 18 cases in the same company
Bibliographic information Feb. 2000, Vol.42, No.2, p.101-102. 13 ref.
Abstract Four cases of semicircular lipoatrophy having been reported, 58 employees of a telecommunication networking company were examined. 18 desk workers had subcutaneous depression, mostly bilateral. The position of the lesions on the thighs was different for each person, but it was observed that the height of the depression on the leg measured from the floor, plus the height of the shoe heel, was constant and at the same height as the desks (70cm). It is assumed that depression is due to repeated mechanical microtrauma.
