Abstract The CSP system is used for evaluating the likely acceptance of lighting schemes by office workers. The responses of office workers obtained in some new work on CSP are compared with the predictions obtained using the original CSP data. The results of the original work are also reconsidered and an alternative interpretation is suggested to simplify the application of the CSP in practice. Topics: artificial lighting; comfort assessment; evaluation of technique; illumination levels; luminance measurement; offices; prediction; subjective assessment; visual comfort; visual performance.
