Title Immune response to a new hepatitis B vaccine in healthcare workers who had not responded to standard vaccine: Randomized double blind dose-response study
Bibliographic information Feb. 1997, Vol.314, No.7077, p.329-333. 32 ref.
Abstract The immunogenicity and reactogenicity of a new recombinant hepatitis B vaccine was evaluated in a cohort of 100 health care workers in whom currently licensed hepatitis B vaccines had not induced an immune response. 69 subjects seroconverted after a single dose of the new vaccine. After the booster vaccination, one other subject seroconverted, bringing the overall seroconversion rate to 70%. Factors affecting the immune response are discussed along with guidelines for immunization.
