Title Occupation, employment status and chronic inflammatory bowel disease in Denmark
Bibliographic information 1996, Vol.25, No.3, p.630-637. Illus. 16 ref.
Abstract A study is reported on two large cohorts of Danish men and women, followed up for hospitalization due to chronic inflammatory bowel disease. Of 363 male and 213 female occupational groups, eight and five groups, respectively, had statistically significant increases in standardized hospitalization ratio. No consistent pattern of occupations at increased risk was found, except that there may be a significant association between sedentary work and chronic inflammatory bowel diseases.
