Abstract This report presents a toxicological assessment of triglycidylisocyanurate (TGIC). Limited data are available on the effects of TGIC in humans; allergic dermatitis is the only human health effect reported in the literature. From the results of animal studies and the limited human data available, it is concluded that the chemical is toxic by oral and inhalation routes, is a skin sensitizer, genotoxic and capable of causing serious eye damage. An interim occupational exposure limit of 0.08mg/m3 is recommended. Engineering controls and safe work methods are described along with methods for the detection and analysis of TGIC.
