Abstract This booklet advises on the provision and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the ceramics industry. The need for protective clothing is outlined along with the responsibilities of employers to provide appropriate clothing and guidance on how it should be worn and taken care of. The use of respirators and eye and ear protectors is also outlined.
