Abstract This Code of Practice is a revision of the 1987 edition (CIS 88-1722). Contents: packaging requirements; scope of the code; general recommendations (normal handling, dropping of packages, stacking, abrasion or vibration, effects of weather, fragile receptacles, plastics used for packaging, packaging of liquids, venting, mixed packaging, repeated use of packagings, empty packagings); requirements for intermediate bulk containers; suitable packaging for particular substances (list of provisions for organic peroxides).
