Bibliographic information June 1986, No.190, p.24-26. Illus. 1 ref.
Abstract Electrical accidents fall into 2 main categories: accidents where death or injury is caused by the passage of current through the body, and accidents where death or injury is the result of a fire which originates from an electrical fault. The UK Department of Trade and Industry statistics show that there are 4 times as many deaths due to fires started electrically as there are from electrocution. The use of adequate protective devices to prevent major fires is discussed .
