Part 1: history of, and background material on, the 4x10h working week (extent of the system in the world); statutory (especially in France) and sociological aspects (motivation for management and workers, problems of dividing time between work, commuting and home life, including domestic tasks). Part 2: medical aspects of the system: sleep disturbance, reduction of sleep time, physical and nervous fatigue, risk of occupational accidents, problems of toxicity levels to be reconsidered in view of the new hours of work.
