| Abstract |
The influence of light and colour on comfort and work capacity and safety is well established scientifically. The requirements for good lighting are set out: luminance and visual acuity, reflectance, elimination of glare, light and colour contrast, utilisation factor. A large section is devoted to the colour climate: colour temperature, colour of workplace surfaces, effects of colours, colour of light, colour rendering, use of safety colours for signs. The importance of other factors such as the construction elements, type of work, daylight, is mentioned. |
