| Abstract |
This article summarises certain conclusions drawn from the experience gained in the production of 10,000 pairs of work shoes with leather uppers and antistatic soles. The soles were manufactured of synthetic rubber (23.5% butadiene-styrene; 32.5% regenerated rubber tyres; fillers: carbon black (20.8%) and amorphous graphite (13.8%), 9.4% paraffin wax, Vaseline oil, Captax, etc.). The shoes were tested with specially designed equipment (measurement of dielectric strength, electric conductivity at 500V). Tables of technical data are reproduced. |
