Title Occupational vitiligo induced by p-tert-butylphenol, a systemic disease?
Bibliographic information 10 Dec. 1977, Vol.2, No.8050, p.1217-1219. 8 ref.
Abstract Vitiligo was detected in 54 of 198 men exposed to p-tert-butylphenol (PTBP) during its manufacture. Clinical and laboratory findings are reported. There was evidence of a systemic mechanism, severity of the disease being related to intensity of exposure. There was no evidence of autoimmune disease. Liver damage occurred in the affected workers, and could be related to PTBP.
