| Abstract |
Presentation of insulating rods offering protection during work in the rain with voltages of 30, 60 and 110kV: properties required, testing, design, materials employed, electrical and mechanical characteristics. The rods consist of a tube of fibrous-glass-reinforced epoxy resin filled with polyurethane foam. The outer casing of the rods and the umbrella discs are composed of silicon rubber. The number of discs varies according to the voltage: 2 for 30kV, 3 for 60kV, and 4 for 110kV. |
