This standard, sponsored by the National Safety Council and the Printing Industries of America, lays down safety specifications for the design, layout, designation, colour scheme, and safety interlocking features of main drive controls and signalling devices for: web-fed commercial and publication printing presses; sheet-fed printing presses; and web-fed newspaper publication printing presses. Letterpress, planographic and gravure variants of the above presses are covered. |
