| Abstract |
Statistical bases of this evaluation and history of connection to neutral by (1) local connection of the non-current-carrying parts to the neutral conductor and (2) by the intermediary of a separate protective conductor, made compulsory in the German Federal Republic in 1970. Statistical analysis of 860 fatal electrical accidents, and calculation of the degree of protection. The low degree of protection assured by connecting to neutral by means of a separate conductor backs up the misgivings of experts concerning the general use of this system. Study of the technical reasons for this poor efficacity. |
