Abstract Results of a questionnaire survey of 86 workers exposed to toluene in the printing industry and 150 controls working in a paper mill. The toluene-exposed workers had significantly more health disorders than the control group; they complained particularly about mental and physical fatigue, memory impairments, digestive disorders, jaundice and dizziness, and had a higher traffic accident rate. Other factors affecting the health of printing workers are dealt with. A discussion of this study and its results is published in the 5 Apr. 1974 issue (No.7, p.253-258) of the same periodical.
