Abstract |
MD thesis. A review of the main printing techniques and an analysis of French national occupational accident statistics for the bookmaking industry in 1971 (10,969 accidents, of which 1,389 were severe, among 229,429 employees), as well as preventive methods are presented. From these statistics and the examination of 39 occupational disease files collected in 1973 in the Paris region, the overall pathology of printing workers is described. An account is given of compensation and prevention problems based on French legal texts and practical recommendations. Improvements are suggested for the compensation of disorders not yet listed as occupational diseases. |
