| Abstract |
The following aspects for evaluating respirable asbestos fibres in the working environment are discussed: collection of airborne sample (membrane filter technique); sampling location; sampling time; fibre enumeration; chemical characterisation of fibres (type, metals, free silica, organic contaminants); physical characterisation of fibres; alternative procedures for exposure evaluation. |
