| Abstract |
A study of resistance to antibiotics of staphylococcal and Escherichia coli strains isolated from persons occupationally exposed to chlortetracycline (animal-fed blenders, poultry breeders, pharmaceutical workers) revealed chlortetracycline-resistant staphylococcal in 72, 81 and 97% of persons in the above occupational groups; in the first 2 groups, 37.2 and 70% of the persons examined had resistant colibacilli. The incidence of staphylococcal resistance increases with increasing duration of exposure. |
