Abstract |
Serious accidents continue to occur on printing and papermaking machinery because the signal emitted when machnes are started up is not heard due to the background noise in the workshop. Frequency-band analyses were carried out on acoustic signals and machine noise, and the results were compared in order to determine the optimal frequency range and sound power level of the acoustic signal and the optimal location for the signal generator to ensure that the signal is audible above the machine noise. Human factors are also considered and proposals are made for imporving safety conditions. |
