Abstract In many cases, businesses can manage safety and health themselves or with the help of in-house advisors. However, there are times when businesses need to get external help, particularly on more detailed or technical issues. This is often referred to as specialist help. Deciding exactly what help is needed is very important. This leaflet answers the questions that businesses need to ask when seeking external help.
