| Abstract |
This guide sets out the general principles of classification and labelling for supply as required by the Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations 2009 (CHIP 4). It is addressed to manufacturers, importers and other suppliers who have responsibilities for the classification and labelling of dangerous substances and preparations and closely follows the European Commission's labelling guide (Annex VI to Directive 67/548/EEC, see CIS 92-23). The changes since the previous edition reflect the introduction of recent EC regulations and directives, including the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals Regulation (REACH). Replaces CIS 02-1845. |
