Bibliographic information 2nd Quarter 2009, Vol.14, No.2, p.172-178. 20 ref.
Abstract The objective of this study was to determine the proportion of migrant farm workers using migrant health centers (MHCs) versus other sources of occupational health care. It was carried out by means of a survey of migrant and seasonal farmworkers in two sites: the Finger Lakes Region of New York and the apple, broccoli, and blueberry regions of Maine. Researchers also conducted MHC and hospital emergency service reviews in these regions. Proportions of occupational morbidity by treatment location were calculated from the survey. Findings are discussed.
