Title A method for assessing health and safety management systems from the resilience engineering perspective
Bibliographic information Oct. 2009, Vol.47, No.8, p.1056-1067. Illus. 38 ref.
Abstract This article introduces an innovative method for assessing health and safety management systems. It brings together the structural approach, the operational approach and the performance approach. It takes into account the resilience engineering perspective, based on four factors (flexibility, learning, awareness and top management commitment). The method was tested in a case study carried out in a factory producing automobile exhaust systems in Brazil.
