Title Prospects for defining occupational exposure limits for carcinogens

Abstract In practice, establishing occupational exposure limits for carcinogens involves collecting and analyzing available toxicological and epidemiological data concerning the level (concentration or amount) for which no adverse effects are observed (NOAEL) or the lowest level for which an effect is observed (LOAEL) based on the dose-response relationship for the chemical being evaluated. However, many scientific issues still need to be understood and resolved.
