Title A Bayesian network analysis of workplace accidents caused by falls from a height
Bibliographic information Feb. 2009, Vol.47, No.2, p.206-214. Illus. 29 ref.
Abstract Using Bayesian networks, this article analyses the circumstances surrounding workplace tasks performed using equipment that may result in falls such as ladders or scaffolding. The information source was a survey of employees working at a height. The approach used enabled identifying the causes having the greatest bearing on accidents involving equipment, namely the adoption of incorrect postures during work and inadequate knowledge of safety regulations by workers.
