Abstract Enterprises can be targets of terrorist attacks. Clients, employees or other persons who are victims of these attacks may claim damages against the enterprise, for either civil or criminal liability. This article discusses the civil and criminal liability of enterprises subjected to terrorist attacks, with comments on the following situations in particular: waiving of civil liability in cases of force majeure; cases where victims can claim occupational accident compensation; cases of employers' inexcusable error; example of the attack in 2002 against the bus carrying French naval construction personnel in Karachi, Pakistan.
