Title Design and administration of occupational safety and health information in nine countries - Background and methods

Abstract In order to improve the capabilities of an occupational safety and health (OSH) information system used in Thailand, the Thai Ministry of Labour commissioned an evaluation of the national programmes of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States. Data were obtained from these countries mostly by questionnaire. This article describes the design of the questionnaire and the data collection process and sets out the main components of an OSH information system used as a basis for analysing the data.
