Abstract The ILO's "Decent Work Pilot Programme" supports the design of national policies for the promotion of decent work. This booklet summarizes the status of the programme in the textile and garment sector of Morocco, one of the key industrial sectors in the country, employing over 200,000 workers, 71% of which are women. Social upgrading of enterprises includes measures relating to safety and health at work, minimum age, hours of rest and freedom from abuse, harassment and forced labour.
