Abstract This booklet provides guidance for persons involved with the management of safety and health at recreational dive sites, and is aimed primarily at site owners and operators. It describes the main risks at dive sites and recommends a series of steps that can safeguard the health and safety of employees, divers and other visitors to the site. The guidance applies to any expanse of water such as lakes, private beaches or harbours where access to divers is controlled as part of a business. Appendices include relevant legislation.
