Title Evaluation of concurrent personal measurements of acrylonitrile using different sampling techniques
Bibliographic information Feb. 2002, Vol.17, No.2, p.88-95. 19 ref.
Abstract Since the 1980s certain US enterprises engaged in the production of acrylonitrile (AN) monomer, acrylic fibres and resins and other products containing AN have systematically been engaging in monitoring the exposure of their workers to the substance. Each enterprise chose its own method of personal air sampling. The aim of this study was to evaluate these methods in 8 separate locations, in order to establish whether the results can be used in a retrospective epidemiological study. In fact the results show that the plant measurements were sufficiently comparable for purposes of epidemiology.
