Provisions cover: establishment and functions of authorities and institutions charged with the protection of the environment and public health; obtaining a certificate of approval for any activities liable to harm the environment or public health (emission of contaminants or pollutants); special powers of the Chief Environmental Health Officer and judicial procedures; penalties for offences under the Act; and powers of the Minister of Health regarding the protection of the environment and public health.
