| Abstract |
Regulations concerning the responsibilities of employers regarding manual handling operations. Employers are required to avoid the need for manual handling operations which involve a risk of injury, and where this cannot be avoided, to make an assessment of these operations, and to take appropriate steps to reduce the risk of injury. Employees are required to make full use of any system of work provided by the employer as a risk reduction measure. A Schedule specifies factors to be taken into account during a risk assessment. |
