Abstract These Regulations (effective: 1 Sep. 1996) were made under the 1986 Act (see CIS 90-1404), complementing the principal regulations of 1995. They contain safety regulations for petroleum work and mining operations. For petroleum work, they require the use of blowout prevention equipment, regulate the sue of well drilling fluids and prohibit certain kinds of night operation. For mining operations, they provide regulations concerning the use of diesel engines, lifting equipment, shafts, electricity, ventilation and explosives.
