Such a programme must include - where applicable - medical examinations at the beginning of employment, at certain intervals, at return to employment, at a change in function and at termination of employment. Workers exposed to chemical and biological hazards should have additional examinations, including biological monitoring programmes. Certain kinds of records and reports are also foreseen. First aid equipment is also prescribed for all workplaces. In annex: list of parameters for the biological monitoring of occupational exposure to certain chemical agents. |
