Abstract Coming into force on 1 Jan. 1985, this regulation applies to all work sites where airborne contaminants or oxygen deficiency might reasonably affect workers' health. The adequacy, design, development or modification of a ventilation system shall be determined on the basis of a thorough assessment of the hazards present. The maintenance of the ventilation system is the responsibility of the employer, who shall also ensure that workers are trained in its use.
